Mezzo Scudo 1611 (Silver, 34 mm, 15.73 g, 7 h), Messina ✠PHILIPPVS III DEI GRATIA (S reversed) Bust of Philipp III to left with millstone collar. Rev. ✠ƧICILIAE ET HIERVƧA REX I6II Cross with crowned flames at the ends, I-P in the lower quarters. Spahr 16A. Beautifully toned. The reverse somewhat double struck, otherwise, good very fine.
